Words cannot explain just how great our very 1st Annual Children’s Art Show turned out! On Friday night, we held what promises to be one of my favorite annual events in conjunction with Mid City Merchants White Light Night. If you couldn’t make it this year, then you missed out. Don’t worry though, our kids will continue to work on amazing projects all year in prep for next year’s show! Some of the highlights from Friday night include: visits from past Co-op staff Chelsey and Sherall, the Moran Family dancers, great food, a hot chocolate station, and music from Ms. Dorothy. Of course, the main show was the art produced by our talented Co-op kids. Not only did we have various art practically all over the place, but we asked our Chameleons (ages 3-5) just how much each piece was worth. Some of the answers were: “I’d let you borrow it”, “No”, “a thousand”, and my personal favorite “2 for all three”. Two what, we still aren’t sure…
Thanks to all of our families who helped hang lights, loaned extension cords, bought drinks, and let us use frames to hang our art. A big thanks to everyone who are now the proud owners of some original Child Development Co-op art. Check out some pics of this special night.
