We operate a play-based early childhood program (mixed-age preschool) in Mid-City Baton Rouge. We seek persons who are passionate about authentic, child-led play, and can appreciate and actively support the key role it has in all domains of child development.

Come Play With Us! We are currently hiring for full time position: Infant/Toddler Caregiver and one part time afternoon position: Preschool Caregiver.

You must be at least 18 years of age, be able to pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check and have previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a child care center for the infant/toddler caregiver position. Experience is preferred for the part time position. NO PHONE CALLS. We will not discuss the details of any job posting over the phone. Infant/Toddler and/or Preschool Caregiver:

We are looking for a caring, creative, and enthusiastic caregiver to join our team who:

  • Wants to play outside every day;

  • Lets children take physical and emotional risks;

  • trusts children with the ability to make sense of the world through unstructured, freely chosen play;

  • Likes to do messy art;

  • Is comfortable on a playground filled with loose parts and items that might be considered “junk” to others;

  • Wants to be part of a team of caregivers who share space and each lead their own class.
